File Download

The files must be downloaded before installation. These can be found on the following page:
https://www.3dfindit.com/en/plugin-3dfindit

There is now an MSI file in the download folder. The installation process can be started by double clicking on the file.

How to install the Plugin

Important Note
Administrator rights are required on the corresponding PC to install the plugin. If these are not available, please contact your internal IT department.

The plugin can't be installed on a network drive and should therefore only be used on local drives.

The corresponding application for which the plugin is installed should be closed before installation, otherwise it will need to be restarted after installation.

Step 01: Welcome Window

When starting the installation via double click, a welcome window appears first. Select "Next" to proceed to the next step.

Step 02: End-User License Agreement

Click on the link to access the EULA. This should be read carefully. The installation cannot be continued without consenting to the agreement. If you agree, check the box "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and then click on "Next".

Step 03: Destination Folder

The next step is to decide where the plugin should be installed. You can use the preselected path for this, or you can uncheck "Simple installation" and change the folder path.

Step 04: Choose the Interfaces

The most important step now is to select the software for which the plugin will be used.
The drop-down arrow next to the red x can be used to select the desired interface. The symbol then changes from an x to a drive icon and will be installed in the next step. When all interfaces have been selected, you can click on "Install".

Step 05: Security Prompt

This is followed by a security prompt from the Windows user account control. To continue the installation, click on "Yes".

Step 06: Installation

All required files are installed. The process may take some time. The status bar provides information about what is currently happening at all times.

Step 07: Completion Message

Once the process has been successfully completed, a window appears to complete the installation. The installation program can be completed using the "Finish" button. The plugin is now installed and can be used.
